Frequently Asked Questions

Are Your Soaps Handmade?

Our soaps are hand-poured in small batches using a melt -and-pour soap base. Each bar is individually designed, scented, and finished by hand.

What Is Melt-And-Pour Soap?

Melt-and-pour soap is a pre-mase soap base that is melted, customized with fragrance and color, and then poured into molds. It allows for creative, handmade soap designs while remaining gentle and easy to use.

What Ingredients Do You Use?

We use a melt-and-pour soap base along with skin-safe fragrance oils, and colorants. A full ingredient list is listed under each product, or available upon request

Are your soaps good for sensitive skin?

Our soaps are made with skin-safe ingredients, but everyone's skin is different. If you have sensitive skin and allergies, we recommend reviewing the ingredients before use or doing a patch test.

Does Melt-And-Pour Use Lye?

Yes melt-and-pour uses lye. The only difference is the base is already made, so it has already gone through the saponification process. You're just remelting and then adding fragrance and color. If there is no lye, it is not soap.

How Should I Store My Soap?

Keep your soap in a cool, dry place and allow it to dry between uses to extend its life.

Can you add other additives to your soap?

If I was making hot or cold process soap I could, but since the base is already made its not wise to add anything other than fragrance and color. In hot and cold process, you're working with the actual soap making ingredients, so you can add whatever you want before the saponification process. Melt-and-pour has already gone through saponification, so if I were to add anything else like fresh honey, oats etc., the soap would mold.
